On a 1st DWI, don\u2019t pay extra for big talk insinuating that your DWI can \u201cpoof go away\u201d like magic when the LARGEST MAJORITY of 1st DWI\u2019s involving legal counsel result in probation, UNLESS there is actually a good defensible case. Beware\u00a0of the high priced lawyer who sits across the table insinuating that he can \u201cmake it go away\u201d before\u00a0he has reviewed one page of the police report and case evidence (discovery\/disclosure).<\/p>\n
In a DWI some costs are incurred right away (bond, impound), lawyer’s fees should be incurred within 15 days (to timely file a license suspension appeal), other costs incurred over the first several months or longer (fines, probation, classes), and lastly costs that are unfortunately recurring costs over the next few years (SR-22 and Insurance hikes).<\/p>\n
