Traffic tickets for CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) holders have greater consequences than tickets for regular license holders. Traffic tickets received either driving a company vehicle or personal vehicle can lead to disqualification or suspension of your CDL.<\/p>\n

Three or more serious traffic violations with a CDL will lead to disqualification. According to the Missouri Deparment of \u00a0Revenue <\/a>\u00a0(DOR) serious traffic violations include reckless driving, speeding 15 mph or more above the speed limit, improper or erratic lane changes, following too closely, and any moving violation relating to a fatal crash. It only takes 8 points in an 18 month period for your license to be suspended with a CDL.<\/p>\n The Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) for CDL holders is lower than that of regular licenses. A CDL holder can get a DWI for 0.04 BAC compared to 0.08 for regular license holders.<\/p>\n Unlike traffic violations for regular license holders, with a CDL Suspended Imposition of Sentences are not available for traffic tickets.
